چکیده

Abstract Background Sugarcane ( Saccharum officinarum L.) is an economically important crop with stalks as the harvest organs. Improvement in stalk quality deemed a promising strategy for enhancing sugarcane production. However, lack of efficient approaches systematic evaluation germplasm largely limits improvements quality. This study designed to develop near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) assay high-throughput phenotyping quality, thereby providing feasible solution precise germplasm. Results A total 628 accessions harvested at different growth stages before and after maturity were employed take determine Based on high-performance anion chromatography (HPAEC-PAD), large variations detected terms biomass composition corresponding fundamental ratios. Online offline NIRS modeling strategies applied multiple purpose calibration partial least square (PLS) regression analysis. Consequently, 25 equations generated excellent determination coefficients R 2 ) ratio performance deviation (RPD) values. Notably, some observations, RPD values high 6.3 observed, which indicated their exceptional predictive capability. Conclusions provides method consistent assessment moisture, soluble sugar, insoluble residue The proposed permits large-scale screening optimal breeding beyond.

Arabidopsis Seed Content QTL Mapping Using High-Throughput Phenotyping: The Assets of Near Infrared Spectroscopy

Seed storage compounds are of crucial importance for human diet, feed and industrial uses. In oleo-proteaginous species like rapeseed, seed oil and protein are the qualitative determinants that conferred economic value to the harvested seed. To date, although the biosynthesis pathways of oil and storage protein are rather well-known, the factors that determine how these types of reserves are pa...

brain near-infrared spectroscopy (nirs)

near-infrared spectroscopy (nirs) is a spectroscopic method that uses the near-infrared region of the electromagnetic spectrum. typical applications include medical and physiological diagnostics. nirs can be used for non-invasive assessment of brain function through the intact skull in human subjects by detecting changes in blood hemoglobin concentrations associated with neural activity, e.g., ...

High-throughput phenotyping of uropathogenic E. coli isolates with Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy.

Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy is an established rapid whole-organism fingerprinting method that generates metabolic fingerprints from bacteria that reflect the phenotype of the microorganism under investigation. However, whilst FT-IR spectroscopy is fast (typically 10 s to 1 min per sample), the approaches for microbial sample preparation can be time consuming as plate culture...

Prediction of Freshness Quality and Phosphate Residue of White Shrimp Products Using Near-Infrared Spectroscopy

Background: The manufacturing of frozen shrimp is an important industry for the economy of Thailand. The objective of this study was to use Near-Infrared (NIR) spectroscopy to determine the freshness quality, including Total Volatile Basic Nitrogen (TVB-N) and Water Holding Capacity (WHC) of white shrimp (whole and chopped shrimp) and phosphate residues of shrimp. Methods: Sixty white shrimp ...
